I was raised in a small town in Connecticut half way between Boston and New York. I spent my entire youth in the ballet studio. I was raised by my two happily, still-married parents with my two older protective brothers. My eldest brother and his wife recently had their first child, and my first nephew! I am a cat lover and wish my landlord would let me have one; my parent's still do. I am in a budding new romantic relationship with a long lost friend from my childhood. I'll keep you updated on him.
At the age of 16 I entered in modeling school and started my passion for posing. Upon graduating high school I enrolled at the University of Hartford studying Ballet Pedagogy. After three semesters, and traveling back and forth to New York City for auditions and modeling jobs, I withdrew from college and took the giant leap to move to New York City. Just a month shy of my 20th birthday, and I was already out on my own braving this big city.
Currently, I am a Makeup Artist and the Events Coordinator at a major Sephora location in Manhattan, a fit model for Catherine Malandrino and Rachel Roy, and am represented by two small agencies in NY, and one in CT. I was on Lifetime's Project Accessory, have been featured in various magazines and websites, and have done a variety of modeling jobs including fit modeling, TV, film, promotional, presentation shows, runway shows, print, hair and more. I spend my free time doing test shoots with photographers, wardrobe stylists, hair and makeup artists, to build up my portfolio even more. I also spend a good amount of time networking.
I started this blog to write about fashion and living in NYC. It is still about those things, and so much more. About half of my posts are now advice related, or spiritual devotions. I want this blog to be somewhere where people come to read about fun things, and deep things. I want you to get something out of everything, and realize that sometimes after you finish reading, you'll sit and think for hours, and sometimes after reading you'll just smile and move on.
I am Christian and politically independent. I have strong views on a lot of issues, that you will have to read my blog to find out!
